ERP Enterprise Architect

In this contract role, you will act as a senior Enterprise Architect focused on SAP and cloud ERP, shaping target architectures and guiding delivery across a complex technology estate. You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to align ERP initiatives with strategic objectives, driving modernisation and value through emerging cloud capabilities. You’ll tackle high‑impact, multi‑team architectural problems and ensure governance and assurance are embedded in delivery. This is a remote‑first opportunity with occasional onsite collaboration, offering influence over a large SAP/cloud ERP landscape and transformation outcomes.

• Define and evolve enterprise and target architectures for SAP/cloud ERP across technology, people, processes and information
• Collaborate with internal teams, partners and suppliers to develop architectures aligned with strategic objectives
• Lead complex architectural framing for high‑risk, interconnected problems and propose viable solutions
• Identify opportunities to simplify and modernise the existing technology estate
• Provide architectural leadership across SAP/ERP platforms and ensure alignment with enterprise, security, data and cloud strategies
• Shape the direction of business and digital capabilities and ensure architectural principles are translated into implementation
• Apply governance and assurance processes, produce artefacts and defend decisions in governance forums

• Senior/Lead Enterprise Architect with strong SAP/ERP experience
• Proven delivery or shaping of SAP transformation, ERP modernisation and cloud ERP programmes
• Solid understanding of EA principles, governance, frameworks, target architectures and operating models
• Experience leading architecture across complex programmes and managing risks, dependencies and debt
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with senior audiences and gain buy‑in
• Experience with third parties, suppliers and multi‑supplier environments
• Experience mentoring or supporting architects and architecture communities
• Knowledge of integration, APIs, data architecture and ERP platforms
• Ability to align technology with business objectives within formal governance structures
