ETL and Data Developer

• Support the business line and solution designer in analyzing data and translating business needs into specifications
• Document data flows and processing rules for corporate data
• Implement data solutions in accordance with data models and analytical development best practices
• Document the testing strategy and implement functional test scenarios
• Create access groups and the RBAC matrix
• Collaborate on the iterative production deployment of solutions with various business units
• Implement data solution quality controls
• Oversee data loads, communicate progress, resolve issues, and support solution operations
• Handle service requests, incidents, and data corrections
• Respond to internal and external audit requests
• Participate in the planning and evolution of data solutions, including obsolescence management
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and manage version updates

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing analytics solutions, along with formal training in information technology
• Strong proficiency in Azure, Data Factory, Snowflake, ETL concepts, and deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of medallion architecture concepts is an asset
• Good knowledge of techniques, frameworks, and methodologies used in the field, including SAFe®, Agile, and the Software Development Lifecycle
• Excellent communicator who is organized and able to explain technical concepts clearly, with strong synthesis skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proactive in identifying and resolving problems
• Extensive knowledge of analytics methodologies and tools, including data warehousing
• Knowledge of data promotion and loading processes
• Strong command of SQL
• Curious, self-directed, and rigorous
• Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industries is a strong asset
• Fluency in French
• Intermediate proficiency in English
