ETL DataStage Developer

We are looking for a skilled DataStage and Talend Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support enterprise data integration, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives. The candidate will work with large datasets and ensure efficient data movement, transformation, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage and/or Talend. Build reusable components and frameworks for data integration.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud).
• Handle structured and semi-structured data and implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation rules.
• Work on data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables), support data marts and reporting systems, and ensure accurate and timely data availability for BI tools.
• Analyze job performance, optimize ETL workflows, handle large data volumes efficiently, and debug and troubleshoot ETL failures.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and developers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in agile development processes (Scrum, sprint planning).
• Document ETL processes, workflows, and data mappings.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards.
• Maintain version control and deployment processes.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in IBM DataStage (Parallel Jobs, Server Jobs) and Talend (Talend Open Studio / Talend Data Integration).
• Strong SQL knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
• ETL design and development.
• Data modeling concepts.
• Experience with Unix/Linux scripting (Shell).
