Overview
In this Executive Director role, you lead Moody’s global quantitative team to develop, calibrate, and enhance rating models and analytics. You shape transparent, predictive capabilities and guide responsible use of AI in model development. You’ll collaborate across functions to translate business priorities into robust models while driving talent development and change. This high-visibility role combines strategic leadership with hands-on modelling to elevate Moody’s analytical foundations.
Responsibilities- Lead model development, calibration, maintenance and enhancement to deploy best-in-class analytical approaches
- Design and implement strategic quantitative solutions to keep Moody’s at the forefront of ratings
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align model design with business priorities and market developments
- Oversee the model development pipeline, set priorities, and report progress to senior management
- Identify process, technology and analytical improvements to reduce risk, increase efficiency and enable digitalization
- Build and retain a high-performing global team with credit, quantitative, technical and change leadership capabilities
- Advance innovation through responsible use of AI and machine learning in modelling
- Foster an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, collaboration and continuous learning
- Lead by example with integrity, build trust and create clarity for the team
- 10+ years of professional experience in credit modelling, statistical analysis, validation, or equivalent
- Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics or equivalent
- Experience managing global quantitative teams and developing talent
- Experience with AI models and tools
- Strategic thinker with ability to execute across teams and support digitalization
- Proven ability to lead change, foster creativity and adopt new modelling and technology tools
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex topics and influence diverse audiences
