Factory Certification Engineer

ABB seeks a Factory Certification Engineer to ensure products, manufacturing processes, and factory operations meet applicable standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead certification programs across the product life cycle and collaborate with customers on Factory Acceptance Tests. As the primary contact for notified bodies, you’ll manage assessments and address observations or non-conformances. You’ll drive internal audits and continuous improvement to strengthen certification processes and maintain the Quality Management System. • Lead and coordinate factory and product certification programs through the product life cycle
• Liaise with customers to support preparation and hosting of Factory Acceptance Tests
• Act as the primary contact for notified bodies, managing assessments and responding to technical queries, observations and non-conformances
• Lead internal audits, regulatory inspections and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen certification processes
• Maintain and improve the sites Quality Management System to ensure compliance with international, national and customer standards
• Review technical documentation to support EU Declarations of Conformity and other regulatory requirements

• Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance or a similar engineering role
• Degree in engineering or other relevant technical discipline (alternative qualifications considered)
• ISO9001 Lead Auditor with knowledge of audit programs
• Experience with global or industry-specific certifications (UL, CSA, FM, MCERTS, Marine, drinking water) advantageous
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical files and conformity assessment documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
