Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician

Outpatient Internal Medicine or Family Medicine coverage in California with a predictable Monday through Friday daytime schedule and no call. Clinic is set up for steady chronic care follow up with on-site support and a manageable daily volume.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Patient population is ages 16 and older, pediatric patients are routed to pediatrics and NPs as appropriate
• Primarily adult patients with chronic medical conditions
• Dedicated support includes 1 MA assigned to the locum, 2 exam rooms, shared office space, plus on-site Behavioral Health and Specialty Support including Women's Health, Hepatology, and OBGYN

Schedule

• Monday through Friday coverage, ideally 4 to 5 days per week
• Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch
• No weekends or holidays
• No call

Cases and Procedures

• Standard primary care visits, with a chronic disease heavy mix
• May include cultures and basic labs
• X-ray available on site
• Expected volume is 12 patients per day, with option to ramp up to 15 to 20 if you are comfortable

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• California medical license required, will not wait for license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• BLS and DEA required
