An established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Sicily Island, Louisiana, is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join its outpatient primary care team.

Position Highlights

• $280,000 base salary
• Outpatient Family Medicine
• 20-25 patients per day
• FQHC/community health setting
• Two other physicians currently practicing at the facility
• Incoming physician will have a supervisory role

Clinical Responsibilities

The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services, including:

• Preventive and wellness care
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Management of hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and other common primary care conditions
• Routine physical examinations
• Health screenings and preventative services
• Patient education and care coordination
• Chronic disease management
• Developing long-term relationships with patients and families
• Clinical supervision and support of the medical team

Leadership Opportunity

The incoming physician will take on a supervisory role within the practice , working alongside two established physicians.

For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for the position to evolve into a Medical Director role , providing an excellent pathway for a physician interested in taking on additional clinical leadership and administrative responsibility.

Ideal Candidate

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Louisiana medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Comfortable practicing outpatient primary care
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Interested in serving a rural and underserved patient population
• Physicians with prior leadership or supervisory experience are encouraged to apply
• Visa candidates may be considered for the right physician
