• Practice Environment: 49-bed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department with daytime hospitalist support
• Call Coverage: Hospitalists cover overnight and weekend call

PM&R Physician Job Requirements

• Active physician license in the state of Texas
• Active DEA registration
• Board certification in an appropriate specialty is required
• At least 1 year of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or a closely related clinical setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Satisfactory background, professional standing, and malpractice history
• Ability to complete credentialing requirements, with an estimated timeframe of approximately 45 days

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation care during scheduled daytime hours
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate ongoing rehabilitation services
• Manage approximately 16-20 patients per day while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and patient safety
• Collaborate with hospitalists and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support continuity of care
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
