Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Neonatologist - Practice Medical Director Roanoke, VA

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: Full-time permanent placement; rotational 24-hour call coverage including weekends; shared neonatal call as part of physician leadership team
• Job Setting: Level IIIB NICU
• Types of Cases:
  • High-acuity neonatal intensive care
  • High-frequency ventilation
  • Nitric oxide therapy
  • Collaboration with maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
• Practice Medical Director responsibilities: include clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and program development
• Academic responsibilities: teaching medical students, pediatric and family medicine residents, Grand Rounds, simulation Boot Camps, mentoring in QI and research

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified in Neonatology required (MD or DO); Board Eligible candidates not accepted
• Certifications: Board Certified in Neonatology
• Licensure: Virginia Medical License (or willingness to obtain); DEA required prior to start

• Leadership experience in NICU or clinical program development required
