Overview

As Feature Lead, you will shape and drive the Credit eTrading technology within FICC, building shared services and leading design discussions for market connectivity, price distribution, and RFQ engines. You will partner with traders, quants and strategists to deliver scalable trading solutions, while growing engineering talent and ensuring production readiness. This role offers impact across a global tech team and an opportunity to influence eTrading workflow optimization in a fast-paced, markets-facing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and build of eTrading solutions (market connectivity, price distribution, RFQ engines)
  • Drive D2D, D2C and bilateral eTrading connectivity implementations
  • Develop and maintain Java/Spring-based, FIX trading components
  • Collaborate with trading desks, strategists and quants for production support and new builds
  • Mentor and grow eTrading engineering talent
  • Deeply understand Credit or Rates eTrading workflows and market structure
  • Debug and profile JDK-based languages (Java/Scala/Kotlin/Clojure)
  • Manage CI/CD and build toolchains (Maven, Gradle, SBT, Jenkins)
  • Develop modern RPC microservices (GraphQL, gRPC)
  • Operate in Unix/Linux environments with shell and diagnostics
  • Utilize monitoring/observability tools (ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
  • Engage with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, ZeroMQ)
  • Leverage container/orchestration tech (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker)
  • Work with data stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB, HBase)
  • Explore reactive streams and libraries (ReactiveX, Spring Reactor)
Key requirements
  • Lead software engineer experience in eTrading solutions
  • Experience building D2D/D2C/bilateral eTrading connectivity
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring and FIX trading solutions
  • Experience with trading desks/quants for production support and new builds
  • Experience growing eTrading engineering talent
  • Knowledge of Credit or Rates eTrading workflows and market structure
  • Proficiency with JDK-based languages and CI/CD tooling
  • Experience with GraphQL and gRPC microservices
