Overview

As Field CTO, you will shape AI infrastructure strategy for enterprise clients at the C-suite level and drive demand for WWT’s AI Infrastructure practice. You combine deep technical credibility with commercial sense and boardroom presence to position WWT as the indispensable partner for major AI investments in EMEA. You’ll influence technology roadmaps, vendor collaborations, and strategic account plans while mentoring senior technical talent. This role offers impact at scale across GPU compute, networking, and data centre architecture within a leading global technology provider.

Responsibilities
  • Provide C-suite advisory on AI infrastructure strategy, including GPU compute investments and data centre readiness
  • Shap e demand for the AI Infrastructure practice through executive relationships, speaking engagements, and thought leadership
  • Position AI infrastructure capability in pre-sales pursuits and strategic account plans
  • Advise clients on AI infrastructure technology landscape, including GPU roadmaps and storage/network trends
  • Develop and present WWT’s AI infrastructure point of view at industry events and partner forums
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA, HPE, Dell, Cisco, and other strategic partners on joint client engagements
  • Mentor and develop senior technical talent within the AI Infrastructure practice
  • Inform practice strategy and investment priorities based on market signals
Key requirements
  • 15–20+ years in technology with demonstrable AI infrastructure credibility
  • 5+ years in a client-facing senior technical leadership role (Field CTO, CTO, VP Engineering, or Distinguished Engineer)
  • Deep understanding of AI infrastructure: GPU compute, high-performance networking, storage, and data centre facilities
  • Strong enterprise network with existing C-suite relationships in EMEA
  • Commercial acumen — ability to shape deals and position technical capability for business impact
  • Stage and boardroom presence — confident presenting to boards, at conferences, and in media
