Field Systems Engineer: MSP Experience Required

Salary: $48,880 - 62,400 per year

• At least 3 years of experience working in an MSP; this is required because the role supports varied client environments.
• Strong skills with Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
• Foundational networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience using an RMM and a PSA, such as NinjaOne, Autotask, ConnectWise, or Automate, or similar tools.
• Ability to explain your troubleshooting approach clearly and write understandable ticket notes.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Helpful but not required: experience with SonicWall, SentinelOne, or Axcient; Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications; and PowerShell knowledge.

• Resolve escalated tickets involving Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, and client networks.
• Visit client sites to install equipment, troubleshoot issues, and complete workstation and server projects.
• Handle firewall, switch, and VLAN work in coordination with our network team.
• Address backup issues and endpoint security alerts.
• Share knowledge with Tier 1 technicians by helping them learn from escalated tickets.
• Identify underlying causes, implement fixes, and document the work for other technicians.
• Use our AI-assisted service tools and provide feedback when their suggestions are inaccurate.
