Finance Analyst

Contract: 12 months

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join a small finance team supporting financial reporting and securities-related activities. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience working with securities and large data sets, and the ability to deliver accurate reporting within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate foreign exchange (FX) P&L and trade exposures
• Support financial reporting and accounting activities
• Review and analyze large volumes of financial and transactional data
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
• Support ongoing business-as-usual finance activities and ad hoc requests
• Manage deliverables and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant financial analysis/accounting experience
• Strong financial reporting experience
• Experience working with securities and/or financial markets
• Solid accounting knowledge and experience
• Experience analyzing and reconciling large data sets
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• Previous experience within a banking or financial services environment
• Experience with FX P&L, trade exposure, or securities reporting
