JOB SUMMARY

This role is a Finance Business Partner role specialized in automating and improving Finance processes, reporting and data capabilities. The role will identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve data quality and strengthen financial and operational reporting through automation, Power BI and other technology solutions.

The role will partner with Finance, Operations and IT to understand business requirements, map existing processes, develop practical reporting and automation solutions, and support their implementation and adoption with business users.

Success requires a combination of finance knowledge, analytical capability, high technology skills, business partnership and a continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable solutions and help users adapt to new technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Transformation & Process Improvement

• Map and assess Finance and related business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, controls and automation.
• Lead assigned automation and process improvement initiatives using Excel, Power BI, ERP and AI capabilities.
• Assess and prioritize automation and reporting opportunities based on business impact, effort, risk and data availability, in consultation with the Director of Finance.
• Document processes, workflows and controls and develop user guides and supporting documentation.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models for financial and operational reporting.
• Establish and maintain consistent financial and operational reporting definitions, data sources and calculation methodologies to support reliable and consistent reporting across the organization.
• Automate data refreshes and reduce reliance on manual Excel-based reporting.
• Implement appropriate data validation and quality checks to support accurate and reliable reporting.
• Translate business questions and reporting requirements into meaningful metrics, analysis, dashboards and visualizations.

Financial & Operational Analysis

• Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
