A fast-growing, acquisitive SaaS business operating across several product lines. Growth is coming from acquisitions and from new AI products, so much of this role is about building financial clarity where it doesn’t yet exist.

The role

This is the cost-side finance partner seat. You’ll join a well-established FP&A team as finance owner for the group’s central costs, including software, premises and T&E, and partner with senior operational leadership to keep the right balance between aggressive growth and profitability. You’ll also play a central role in running the group budget process.

What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of shared group overheads such as software, property and travel, from planning through monthly review.
  • Decide how those overheads are allocated across the group.
  • Work with procurement to scrutinise supplier contracts and find savings.
  • Feed overhead spend into short-term cash planning and keep it accurate week to week.
  • Run the group planning calendar and pull together budget packs for the Board and leadership team.
  • Shift forecasting towards driver-based models and fold acquired businesses into the plan.

What you’ll bring

  • Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 1 to 3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally from a leading practice.
  • A planning or commercial finance background in subscription software.
  • Cash forecasting or supplier spend experience, which will set you apart.
  • A clear understanding of how the three financial statements connect, plus strong modelling skills.
  • Comfort challenging senior people on what they spend.

This suits

a finance professional with a cost control or planning bent who enjoys building process and structure from scratch, and wants early exposure to Board-level budgeting.
