Finance Business Partner

In this role you will partner with divisional leaders to deliver robust financial insight that supports high-quality patient care within available resources. You will lead financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting, while driving efficiency initiatives and business case development. You will translate complex financial data for non-finance colleagues and help shape decisions across services through strong relationship-building. • Lead financial reporting, forecasting and analytical reviews for assigned services
• Support budget setting and business planning; develop robust business cases
• Identify, cost, forecast and monitor efficiency opportunities
• Use service line reporting, patient-level costing and benchmarking to inform decisions
• Provide expert financial advice and develop strong business partnering relationships
• Support and develop divisional finance team members
• Contribute to ongoing development of financial systems and processes
• Engage with senior/divisional leadership to ensure decisions are based on robust financial information

• CCAB-qualified accountant
• Significant post-qualification experience in financial management
• Experience supporting divisions to identify, track and report efficiencies
• Experience with financial systems and improvements
• In-depth knowledge of the NHS financial regime
• Ability to extract, interpret, manipulate and present financial/activity data meaningfully
• Experience dealing with contracts for supplies and services
• Autonomous in applying national standards and DHSC/NHS guidance for compliant financial management
• Current UK professional registration
