Overview
In this Finance Director role, you will own the finance function for a profitable manufacturing SME in the East Midlands, reporting to the MD. You will lead a small finance team while shaping board-level discussions and driving improvements in profitability, gross margin and cash conversion. You’ll partner with the leadership team to enable operational efficiencies and strategic decisions that support the company’s ongoing success. This is a hands-on, commercially minded opportunity to make a tangible impact in a growing manufacturing business.

- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Manage cash and treasury, tax, audit and financial controls
- Provide commercial insight to the MD and leadership team
- Drive process improvements and profitability enhancements
- Lead and develop a finance team of five
- Support operational efficiencies and board-level decision making
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Senior finance leadership experience in an SME manufacturing or similar operational business
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in product costing, margin improvement and cash management
- Proven ability to lead a finance team, improve processes and influence senior stakeholders
