Finance Manager

In this Finance Manager role, you will own day-to-day finance and financial control while leading an outsourced team. You’ll contribute to budgeting, forecasting and board reporting, alongside hands-on month-end close, cash flow analysis, and multi-entity consolidation across UK and overseas subsidiaries. You’ll also oversee statutory/tax compliance, R&D claims, audits, and process improvements, including AI-powered tools adoption. This position plays a central role in maintaining financial health and investor readiness as the company scales, with scope to broaden its impact over time.

• Own day-to-day finance and financial control; manage outsourced finance team
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and board reporting
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, management accounts, cash flow and runway analysis
• Consolidate multi-entity, multi-currency accounts across UK and overseas subsidiaries
• Manage statutory accounts, tax compliance, R&D tax credits and grant funding claims
• Coordinate audit, regulatory filings and supplier/payroll matters
• Drive improvements to finance systems and processes, including AI-powered tools
• Act as primary finance contact across the business and support investor readiness
• Support scaling with ability to expand scope as the company grows

• Qualified accountant
• Post-qualification experience in industry
• Experience in an early-stage or growing business; hands-on in evolving environments
• Sector experience desirable
