About the Opportunity

Are you a CPA with a passion for technical accounting and financial reporting? We are partnering with a leading organization in the financial services sector to find a Finance Manager, External Reporting who will play a key role in delivering accurate, transparent, and compliant financial disclosures while supporting strategic business decisions.

In this leadership role, you'll collaborate with finance, tax, treasury, FP&A, and audit teams to ensure reporting excellence across the organization. You'll also mentor a small team, provide technical accounting expertise, and help shape reporting processes that strengthen governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll lead the quarterly and annual external reporting cycle, including consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and management commentary.
• You'll ensure all financial reporting is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• You'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, validate, and align financial information for external reporting.
• You'll research complex accounting matters, prepare technical accounting memos, and support the implementation of new accounting standards.
• You'll oversee relationships with external auditors, coordinate audit activities, and maintain strong reporting controls.
• You'll mentor and develop two direct reports, providing technical guidance, setting priorities, and supporting their professional growth.
• You'll identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, systems, and internal controls to drive greater efficiency and accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• CPA designation is required.
• Experience within a public company environment and/or Big Four public accounting is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP, regulatory disclosure requirements, and complex consolidations.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a small team in a fast-paced finance environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting, and disclosure management tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts for senior stakeholders.
