Overview
In this role you drive Finance technology strategy and delivery, leveraging AI, automation and digital finance to improve decision-making, controls and efficiency. You’ll partner across Finance, Technology and the business to shape a scalable technology roadmap and responsible innovation. You will lead cross-functional transformation programmes with hands-on delivery, coaching teams and ensuring safety, governance and long-term value. This is a high-impact leadership position within SSE’s finance function supporting the energy transition.

- Shape and lead the development and delivery of Finance technology strategy and roadmap
- Champion adoption of emerging tech, including AI and intelligent automation, to simplify processes and improve insight
- Foster trusted cross-functional partnerships across Finance, Technology and business units
- Lead portfolio of digital transformation initiatives from concept to implementation with governance and benefits realisation
- Promote a culture of learning, curiosity and continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance
- Influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change and adoption of new technologies
- Proven track record leading Finance technology transformation programmes
- Experience at the intersection of Finance, Technology and business change
- Ability to translate strategic ambitions into practical, scalable outcomes
- Strong stakeholder influence and relationship-building with senior leaders
- Deep understanding of Finance controls, governance, data management and risk
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and significant senior Finance leadership experience
