Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their established finance department in East London . This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. You will be involved in the month-end close process, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting standards and practices, working within a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for all financial transactions.
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
