- The candidate will be responsible for consistently demonstrating empathy and kindness while taking the time to understand circumstances, motivators and concerns in all interactions with colleagues and clients.
- The candidate will be required to communicate clearly to identify client needs and provide client centric advice while resolving concerns at first contact.
- The candidate will be responsible for using their own advice capabilities, along with those of the right partner in the RBC ecosystem, to meet clients’ entire suite of financial needs, both personal and business.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing professional advice and education with the ability to address complex credit and investments, ensuring solutions are appropriate for client needs and financial circumstances.
- The candidate will be required to promote digital enablement by educating clients to self-serve while providing advice and encouraging interaction through their preferred channels.
- The candidate will be responsible for making good use of technology to connect with clients both virtually and face to face.
- The candidate will be responsible for implementing effective contact and relationship building strategies that support new client acquisition and retention in the local community.
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages and business banking to ensure clients receive customized and relevant expert advice.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- The candidate must have completed the Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation through the Canadian Securities Institute (Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I) for Canada excluding Quebec.
- The candidate must have completed the Certificate of Achievement in Personal Finance from the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e., Fundamentals of Personal Finance – Quebec, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals – Quebec, Insurance and Retirement – Quebec).
- The candidate must have 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to build trust and sustain long‑term client relationships.
- The candidate should be comfortable using different devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- The candidate must have second language skills.
- The candidate must be active in developing strong network within the local community.
