Financial Analyst, Accounting

• Collaborate in the management, monitoring and optimization of cost of goods sold and manufacturing costs


• Develop, track and analyze financial and operational performance indicators


• Work with production teams to analyze operational flows and make recommendations for improvement


• Prepare strategic financial analyses to support management decision-making


• Serve as the financial resource person for the Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation project


• Participate in the review, validation and optimization of the chart of accounts and ledgers


• Ensure the integrity of financial data, the implementation of internal controls and the standardization of processes


• Support the full accounting cycle and participate in monthly and annual closings


• Monitor administrative and financial practices to ensure their efficiency


• Report directly to the Vice President, Finance as part of a small, dynamic and stable team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance


• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing environment


• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP or equivalent)


• Excellent knowledge of Excel


• Proven expertise in cost accounting and management accounting


• Comfortable engaging with shop-floor realities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams


• Sharp analytical skills and strong attention to detail


• Ability to quickly identify and communicate issues


• Ability to simplify financial information and tailor communication to different audiences


• CPA designation is an asset
