Financial Controller

Areix is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of financial information, support strategic decision-making, and maintain compliance with Canadian financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP / IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key metrics to support business decisions
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Support process improvements and implementation of financial systems
