Financial Controller (CPA) - $110K - $115K

Overview

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a successful family-owned commercial real estate organization with a diversified portfolio of operating businesses (Not just real estate). They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller/CPA Accountant to oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial management across multiple entities.

Salary: $110K to $115,000 annually

Experience: Minimum 5 years post-CPA

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, audits, and compliance reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee internal controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee bookkeeping functions including AP, AR, payroll, tax filings, and government reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide financial recommendations.
• Analyze tax implications and ensure timely filings.
• Report financial insights to ownership and senior leadership.
• Maintain relationships with external accountants, auditors, lenders, and insurance partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of post-CPA experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Yardi, and QuickBooks.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
