Financial Controller CPA Campbell River

As Financial Controller, you will oversee accounting operations and provide practical guidance to the President and CEO and Fractional CFO. Your work will cover financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, and job profitability. You will collaborate with operational staff, accounting personnel, external advisers, and the external accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Manage month-end and year-end closes, reconciliations, and reporting
• Review work in progress, job costs, margins, and billing
• Prepare budgets, bids, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Coordinate Canadian and United States compliance reporting

Requirements:

• CPA designation or final-stage CPA program standing
• At least three years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience supervising accounting staff and managing deadlines
• Knowledge of reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and Canadian taxes
• Experience with Sage 50 or comparable accounting systems preferred
