Financial Controller - FMCG

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the FMCG industry, is looking for a seasoned and strategic Financial Controller to join their finance department in Kimberley . This hybrid role will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing critical insights to support business decisions, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a key position for a finance professional seeking to drive financial strategy and operational excellence within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support business objectives.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
