Position: Financial Counseling Manager

Location: 550 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10016

Duration: PERM

Working Hours: 8am-4pm M-F

Salary: $82k-$96k (20% fee)

Must Haves:

• 5-7+ years of Revenue Cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous leadership/supervisory experience
• Strong people management and operational oversight experience

Plusses:

• Medicaid enrollment/application experience
• EPIC experience
• Financial counseling experience within healthcare
• Experience working with hospital billing or hospital-based revenue cycle operations

Day-to-Day:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Financial Counseling team
• Manage and support a team of approximately 18 staff members
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
• Handle staff management, scheduling, and timekeeping responsibilities
• Monitor work queues and operational performance metrics
• Guide patients through Medicaid enrollment and local DSS assistance programs

Job Description:

This individual will oversee a team responsible for helping patients navigate financial assistance programs, Medicaid enrollment, and other funding resources. The manager will be responsible for daily operations, staff supervision, policy compliance, workflow management, and cross-functional collaboration with care management and social work teams. The ideal candidate is a strong revenue cycle leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and can successfully guide teams through operational and system changes, including upcoming EPIC enhancements.
