Financial Reporting Accountant Inland

Support Inland Truck & Equipment’s accounting team with financial reporting, general ledger analysis, and year-end documentation in Kamloops, British Columbia.

This Intermediate Accountant works with the Accounting Manager on Head Office Accounting activities across daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end cycles. You will prepare branch financial statements, reconcile accounts, investigate bank items, and develop documentation for external auditors. The position also includes tax reporting and inventory analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare branch financial statements and supporting account analyses
• Review general ledger accounts and distribute monthly statements
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items
• Prepare year-end files and auditor supporting documentation
• Complete sales tax remittances and quarterly statistical reports

Requirements:

• Accounting degree or diploma from post-secondary education
• Two years’ related experience or equivalent education and training
• Ability to analyze issues using technical knowledge
• Clear, consistent, and open communication skills
• Detailed-oriented approach with strong organization abilities

Use financial reporting, account reconciliation, and technical accounting skills to support Inland’s Head Office Accounting Department.
