Financial Reporting and Analytics Manager

Lead financial reporting and analytics for Chilliwack School District, applying advanced Excel, Power BI, budgeting, and forecasting expertise. Work with schools and departments.

As Manager of Financial Reporting and Analytics, you will support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. The position partners with schools and departments to develop financial plans, identify budgetary pressures, recommend solutions, and support the Assistant Secretary Treasurer. Your work serves senior leadership, the Board, Ministry, and partner audiences across a complex public education environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support annual budget preparation and financial reporting
• Coordinate submissions for supplies, services, wages, and benefits
• Analyze monthly results, variances, and budget-to-actuals
• Prepare performance reports for district and external audiences
• Improve reporting, budgeting processes, Excel, and Power BI tools

Requirements:

• CPA designation with five years of related experience
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Advanced Excel and Power BI reporting skills
• Strong knowledge of automated finance and accounting systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills
