Financial reporting and internal controls define this hybrid Controller role at Microserve, based in Burnaby, BC, with accounting leadership responsibilities. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller leads the accounting function and protects financial reporting integrity. The role oversees close processes, ASPE statements, Canadian statutory requirements, treasury, cash flow, and internal controls. It also supports ERP optimization and informed organizational decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare and review ASPE financial statements Lead year-end audits and liaise with external auditors Maintain internal controls, policies, and risk mitigation Lead ERP implementation, stabilization, and optimization Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Required CPA designation Five-plus years of progressive accounting or controllership experience Strong ASPE and Canadian statutory reporting knowledge Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills Microserve seeks a Controller who combines reporting accuracy, control leadership, treasury knowledge, and accounting team development.
