Financial Reporting Manager

Accounting Manager (Financial Reporting) | F500 Manufacturer

We’re partnering with a large, publicly traded global manufacturer seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to join its Corporate Controllership team.

This is a highly visible opportunity for someone with strong SEC reporting and technical accounting experience who wants exposure across corporate accounting, consolidations, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and senior finance leadership. The role also includes direct people leadership and ownership of key reporting and process-improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
• Manage additional employee benefit and pension-related financial reporting
• Monitor evolving SEC disclosure requirements and perform peer benchmarking
• Partner with Investor Relations on quarterly earnings materials
• Research complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memos
• Support accounting policy development and implementation of new accounting standards
• Oversee lease accounting activities and provide guidance to a shared-service team
• Partner with external auditors throughout the reporting and audit cycle
• Drive automation, process improvement, and financial reporting transformation initiatives
• Lead and develop members of the Financial Reporting team

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience
• Active CPA required
• Strong SEC reporting and technical accounting knowledge
• Public accounting and public-company industry experience preferred
• Prior leadership or people-management experience
• Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills
• Workiva and/or OneStream experience is a plus
