About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Risk Manager to join their fully remote team, supporting operations in the Kimberley region. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing strategies to identify, measure, and manage financial risks across the organization. You will oversee market risk, credit risk, and operational risk frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, a deep understanding of risk management principles, and the ability to excel in an independent, virtual work setting. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide risk management framework. Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess potential financial exposures. Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report on risk metrics to senior management. Implement policies and procedures to mitigate identified risks effectively. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards. Collaborate with business units to embed risk management best practices into daily operations. Requirements
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial risk management within the banking or financial services industry. In-depth knowledge of market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel Accords). Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders remotely. Benefits
