In this Fire ICT Engineer role, you will support Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service’s ICT backbone, enabling critical operations across radio, telephony, and data systems. You’ll work within the Fire ICT Team to maintain and improve technology that underpins incident response and service delivery. The role offers hands-on technical challenges, project involvement, and an on-call element to safeguard essential systems. - Maintain specialised systems: radio communications, telephony (Integrated Communication Control System), and emergency alerting platforms
- Provide technical support for IT infrastructure, networking, and data centre technologies: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring
- Participate in ICT projects and, after training, join the on-call rota to support critical systems out of hours
- Implement security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality, ensuring policy and regulatory compliance
- Respond to ITSM tickets daily, resolve issues or escalate with detailed information to senior engineers or third parties
