Firmware Developer C C++ DVR

Build firmware for next-generation products at The E.W. Scripps Company and Nuuvyo, using C, C++, and SQLite onsite. Develop software supporting digital video recording and streaming.

This Firmware Developer position focuses on core DVR engine software and APIs for client applications. You will work with program guide ingest, recording schedules, video streams, and existing tools. The work includes C and C++, SQLite, JSON, REST, websockets, and open-source build systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop firmware for next-generation products
• Develop DVR scheduling and recording engine software
• Build APIs for Roku, Apple TV, and Android TV applications
• Enhance existing applications and development tools
• Troubleshoot firmware issues and support integration

Requirements:

• Three or more years of related experience preferred
• Related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Proficiency in C, C++, and SQLite
• Experience with concurrency and multithreading
• Knowledge of JSON, REST, and open-source build systems
