Overview

In this role you will design, develop and optimize OpenCPI-based components for SIGINT and RF systems, integrating them on FPGA-based and embedded SDR platforms. You will work closely with delivery teams to bring designs into deployed capability within secure environments, balancing performance, latency and resources. This position combines hands-on firmware with system-level collaboration to deliver mission-critical capability for national security customers. You’ll operate at the intersection of cutting-edge hardware and software, shaping secure, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop OpenCPI workers and containers in C/C++ and HDL (VHDL/Verilog)
  • Integrate DSP chains into FPGA and embedded Linux environments
  • Perform trade-off analyses across performance, latency and resource use
  • Support hardware/software integration in secure lab and customer environments
  • Collaborate with Delivery Managers to transition design to deployed capability
  • Engage directly in customer-facing secure environments as required
  • Maintain technical credibility with National Security stakeholders
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies and resourcing needs early
Key requirements
  • extensive VHDL experience
