FO e-Trading Developer

In this role you will develop and maintain bespoke e-trading tools for an FX desk, delivering real-time support in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with traders and cross-functional partners to translate requirements into practical technical solutions, enabling smoother trade lifecycles and execution workflows. This is a hands-on role with significant impact on trading efficiency and risk controls, within a globally connected front office. You will operate with limited supervision and have a clear opportunity to shape tooling for a high-pressure trading environment.

• Develop and maintain bespoke e-trading tools for FX traders
• Provide real-time Front Office support for urgent trading and production issues
• Code analytics, pricing tools, automation scripts, and workflow solutions in Python
• Collaborate with FX traders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Support and improve e-trading platforms, execution workflows, and trade lifecycle processes
• Engage with a broad range of internal and occasional external stakeholders
• Prioritise tasks by urgency and business impact
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve live trading issues
• Produce clear reporting to the team and management
• Coordinate with global trading and tech teams for alignment

• Strong Python development skills (mandatory) and VBA
• Solid understanding of FI markets and trading processes
• Experience in Front Office or E-Trading environments
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
• Background in quantitative disciplines (Quant Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or similar)
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Proven experience supporting time-critical systems under pressure
• Strong communication skills with traders and senior stakeholders
