Forward Deployed Agentic Engineer

Build agentic software in Toronto using TypeScript or Python, React, and SQL while embedding with portfolio companies on-site.

This full-time hybrid Forward Deployed Engineer role serves a software holding company operating vertical software businesses. You will ship production systems into live operations, identify high-leverage workflows, and own delivery end to end. The role targets candidates with startup experience and customer-facing engineering backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Embed with portfolio companies to understand operational workflows
• Identify high-leverage workflows for agentic software
• Build integrations, prompts, evaluations, and UI surfaces
• Operate and tune deployed systems after launch
• Codify reusable engineering patterns into playbooks

Requirements:

• Three to six years of relevant engineering experience
• Full-stack proficiency in TypeScript or Python, React, and SQL
• Production LLM or agentic software shipped externally
• Evaluations, outcome tracking, and daily AI development tools
• Comfort traveling frequently to portfolio companies
