Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Build agentic software in live workflows as a Forward Deployed Engineer, using TypeScript or Python and working hybrid in Toronto. Frequent travel supports portfolio company deployments.

This software investment and operations team role embeds with portfolio companies. You will own delivery end to end, translating practical business needs into reusable solutions. The work combines React, SQL, integrations, prompts, evaluations, and production LLM systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand operating models with portfolio company teams
• Identify high-impact workflows for agentic software
• Build integrations, prompts, evaluations, and user interfaces
• Monitor deployed systems and calibrate autonomy
• Document patterns in reusable implementation playbooks

Requirements:

• Three to six years of relevant engineering experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python, React, and SQL
• Production LLM or agentic software experience
• Customer-facing delivery beyond demos and prototypes
• Ability to scope ambiguous business problems technically
