Forward Deployed Engineer

In this role you embed with business teams to turn prototypes into production-grade engagement-layer applications on the enterprise stack. You own the full technical lifecycle—from discovery to production—for domain tools, dashboards, AI-assisted workflows and lightweight apps. You’ll integrate with the Enterprise Data Platform and core Trafigura systems, deploying agentic AI workflows and driving measurable business value. This position offers practical, on-the-ground delivery with cross-functional collaboration and ownership of live production.

• Embed with business teams on-site to translate prototypes into production-grade applications on the enterprise stack (React, Python/Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS)
• Own the full technical lifecycle from discovery to enterprise rollout, including architecture, testing, performance and UX consistency
• Conduct deep-dive technical discovery sessions and produce scoping docs, architecture decisions and reusable design patterns
• Architect and build production-grade integrations, APIs, data pipelines and workflow automations with core Trafigura systems
• Transform PoCs into secure, scalable production systems with event streams and governed data flows
• Design, deploy and orchestrate agentic AI workflows (LangGraph) and RAG pipelines; manage AI development environments and tools
• Operate end-to-end delivery toolchain (AWS, GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, IaC) and AI observability tooling
• Integrate engagement-layer apps with Azure Entra ID and implement standard IAM models
• Own deployments end-to-end, triage outages, perform root-cause analysis and maintain runbooks
• Collaborate with IT, Enterprise Architecture and Platform Engineering to align standards and roadmaps
• Decompose complex business problems into actionable deliverables and push back when needed for scalability

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• 2+ years embedded with users delivering production applications in financial services or similar enterprise contexts
• Experience taking PoCs through full lifecycle to production-grade systems
• Strong Python and full-stack skills (React/Node.js, PostgreSQL)
• Cloud experience (AWS), Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab), IaC (Terraform)
• Understanding of REST/gRPC, microservices, SQL/data modeling, ETL
• IAM with OIDC/SAML and Azure Entra ID; security and governance awareness
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, AI tooling (Claude Code) and AI observability
• Familiarity with trading/ERP or enterprise domain data models
