Forward Deployed Engineer

In this role you will embed with customers to apply optimization within IFS PSO, translating real-world scheduling problems into models and shipping working solutions fast. You will work at the intersection of the optimization engine and customer teams, iterating under tight deadlines and feeding field learnings back into the product. This is an AI-first position that values hands-on construction of production AI applications and close collaboration with customers. You’ll solve complex, scalable planning challenges and contribute to enterprise-saas solutions with impact at the Moment of Service.

• Partner with customers to translate scheduling problems into optimization models
• Configure, extend, and debug the core scheduling engine against live datasets
• Build and iterate on new solutions with customer teams under tight deadlines
• Feed field learnings back to core product and engineering teams

• Strong software engineering background, ideally C#/.NET; comfortable with large codebases
• Hands-on experience with optimization techniques (constraint programming, mathematical/linear programming, or algorithm development)
• Experience working directly with customers: gathering requirements, explaining trade-offs, presenting results
• Bias toward shipping with ability to iterate quickly under ambiguity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle real-world constraints
