Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced AI Agentic Solutions that behave autonomously and adaptively. You will work with the Workato Agentic AI platform to build scalable AI-driven workflows and RAG-based pipelines, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams. Your work will influence product development and help customers achieve tailored, reliable AI-powered IT automation. This role offers hands-on impact at scale and a clear path from ideation to implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Implement agent-based AI solutions on the Workato Agentic AI platform
  • Develop advanced prompting, memory management, and behavior-planning for LLMs and agents to author/execute complex workflows
  • Troubleshoot and analyze AI-driven architectures including scalable RAG pipelines and agent frameworks
  • Design and maintain robust AI-powered IT workflows with agent-based decision making and integration
  • Monitor and improve AI system performance for efficiency and reliability
  • Collaborate with customers to deliver tailored, scalable agentic AI and RAG-based solutions
  • Integrate AI workflows into existing IT frameworks with smooth deployment
  • Contribute to knowledge base and internal process improvements
  • Support product development from ideation to implementation with technical insights
  • Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Key requirements
  • BTech/BE or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field
  • Total 4+ years of relevant experience in design, development, and implementation
  • Proven AI engineering experience with agent-based systems
  • Experience designing scalable AI-driven workflows for IT operations
  • Knowledge of integrating projects; hands-on with automation technologies, middleware, APIs, SOA/ESB/BPM
  • Strong APIs knowledge (RESTful, SOAP/XML) and JSON data handling; SQL/NoSQL databases knowledge
  • Strong collaboration in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Analytical thinking with entrepreneurial and proactive mindset
  • Effective prioritization and time management under pressure
  • AI engineering and agent-based systems
  • Integration and automation tooling knowledge
  • Middleware and enterprise messaging patterns
