Forward Deployed Engineer

ZeinCrew is recruiting exceptional Forward Deployed Engineers on behalf of one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the world.

This is a full-time, direct-hire role —selected candidates will join our client directly as core team members, with ZeinCrew managing the initial sourcing and evaluation.

Our client builds cutting-edge AI products relied on by engineering organizations worldwide. They are hiring highly technical, customer-facing engineers to deploy these systems directly into complex production environments. This is not a traditional solutions engineering or sales engineering role: you will write production code, tackle hard systems problems, collaborate directly with client engineers, and take full ownership of deployments from start to finish.

About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of software engineering, AI architecture, product development, and customer strategy. You'll work alongside external engineering teams to dissect their workflows, map high-impact AI opportunities, and embed our client's technology into their production stacks.

Responsibilities

• Own Deployments End-to-End: Lead customer implementations from initial system design to full organizational adoption.
• Build & Extend Systems: Write production code, construct integrations, build custom tooling, and develop features when off-the-shelf workflows fall short.
• Solve Complex Technical Blockers: Debug production systems on the fly to eliminate integration friction.
• Drive Product Strategy: Gather engineering feedback from the field to directly shape internal product roadmaps and feature prioritization.
• Guide & Implement: Lead technical demos, architectural reviews, and hands‑on pilots with client engineering leads.
• Travel as Needed: Meet with customer engineering teams on-site (approx. 25–50% travel).

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for hands-on software engineers, not account managers or sales representatives.

• Core Engineering Foundation: Deep proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python or TypeScript) with experience shipping and debugging production software.
• Problem-Solving & Curiosity: Strong technical instinct and the ability to navigate complex software architectures.
• Clear Communication: The confidence and clarity required to collaborate directly with external technical leaders.
• High Autonomy: A bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to drive outcomes without waiting for step‑by‑step instructions.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel 25–50% to collaborate on‑site with clients.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have

• Background as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Software Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Founding Engineer, or similar technical role.
• Experience operating inside high-growth startups or venture-backed tech environments.
• Hands‑on experience building with LLMs, AI agents, developer tooling, or modern AI infrastructure.
• A history of building technical projects or systems beyond standard job responsibilities.
