Forward Deployed Engineer FDE Python AWS

In this role you will deliver cloud-based Python/AWS solutions for client bespoke projects at a growing software scale-up serving the legal sector. You’ll work closely with clients, own technical decisions, and drive end-to-end delivery from conception to deployment. You’ll engage in greenfield development, take a hands-on approach, and contribute to product growth as the company scales. The role blends engineering impact with client-facing collaboration in a hybrid Manchester setup.

• Own client bespoke projects end-to-end, from requirement to deployment
• Build cloud-based applications using Python and AWS
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams
• Make technical decisions and deliver visible results quickly
• Contribute to greenfield development initiatives
• Adhere to modern software engineering practices across the SDLC

• Strong Python backend development skills (ideally FastAPI)
• Experience with AWS and Amazon CDK
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles
• Full software development lifecycle experience
• Business acumen with startup/SME experience
• Proactive, product-minded contributor
• Degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline
• Active GitHub account and/or personal projects (preferred)
