As Managing Engineer - Forward Deployed, you lead client-facing delivery and a team of engineers to unify complex data landscapes and build transformative workflows. You own the client relationship and steer end-to-end projects, blending deep technical mastery with strong EQ to navigate complex environments. You’ll architect solutions, deliver fast iterations, and demonstrate impact to clients. This role offers the chance to shape real-world outcomes through AI-enabled data work within a merit-based, collaborative culture.
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end delivery and client problem ownership, from data engineering to user-facing front-end widgets
- Directly engage with clients to translate goals into actionable technical plans and communications
- Embed AI workflows into applications using cutting-edge tools
- Contribute to internal innovation programs (Decho Labs) and share deployment learnings
- Foster collaboration through self-managed tasking, show-and-tell culture, and tech reviews
- Balance hands-on work with team leadership to uplift peers and ensure delivery quality
- Travel/onsite client delivery to maintain high service standards
- Ability to decompose complex use cases and architect solutions
- Fluency in Python, SQL, and TypeScript and/or React; ability to learn new languages quickly
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, Gotham, or similar (preferred but not required)
- High emotional intelligence to manage client expectations and navigate stakeholders
- Strong communication skills to present demos and translate technical concepts to non-technical users
