Overview

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you engineer end-to-end, production-grade AI solutions for enterprise customers. You work closely with field teams to design, implement, and deploy LLM-enabled apps that span backend, data orchestration, and frontend UI. Your role combines systems thinking with product mindset to deliver scalable, reusable patterns and toolchains. You act as the CTO of the build, shaping how customers realize value from Now AI Platform in live environments. This role offers direct customer impact, cross-team influence, and opportunities to drive architecture decisions at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Build solution-ready LLM-enabled applications across backend logic, data orchestration, and front-end UI
  • Work in the field with customers to adapt, deploy, and iterate in live environments
  • Codify reusable assets such as libraries, prompts, and scaffolds to accelerate future engagements
  • Shape developer experience by feeding back to platform and product teams
  • Deliver production-ready solutions in end-to-end agile sprints
  • Engineer with versatility across APIs, orchestration pipelines, vector databases, LLM frameworks, and UI components
  • Operate with agility, integrating with legacy systems and maintaining safe, high-speed delivery
  • Influence platform direction by contributing field-tested insights and extensible code
  • Lead implementation from zero to one and align with customer and architectural expectations
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ years in customer-facing or embedded roles
  • Proven ability to design and deploy AI-native software in production
  • Backend: Python, Node.js, Java; Frontend: React, Angular; APIs: REST/GraphQL
  • ML tooling and frameworks knowledge (MLflow, Weights & Biases, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Kubeflow, Airflow, etc.)
  • LLM tooling and context management (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, vector search)
  • Performance and observability skills (debugging distributed systems, latency tuning, monitoring)
  • DevOps: CI/CD, containers, infra-as-code; cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to embed onsite
