Founding Backend Engineer (Python / Django)

London | 4 days onsite, 1 WFH

Pulse Group are proud to be working with an incredibly exciting AI-native startup building a next-generation product that goes far beyond \"just another chatbot!\"

They’re creating a proactive AI Lifestyle Operating System for some of the world’s highest-performing founders, athletes and creatives, using AI to actually advise, execute and manage across travel, dining, wellness, experiences and more.

The business has already raised $12m from an impressive group of investors and is now expanding its founding engineering team.

This is a genuinely hands-on, high-ownership position working directly alongside the CTO, building the backend infrastructure behind the product and taking features all the way from idea to production.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years building production backend systems


• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge


• Experience with background processing, ideally Celery


• Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI infrastructure


• Cloud-native production experience, ideally GCP


• Exposure to RAG, agent-based systems or orchestration is a big plus


• Someone who enjoys ownership, solving difficult engineering problems and shipping

This isn't one for someone looking to disappear into a huge engineering organisation. It’s a small, senior founding team where you’ll be close to the CTO, close to the product and have genuine influence over the technical direction as the company scales.
