Overview
Founding Engineer at a fast-growing AI startup building cloud-native Python/TypeScript applications to transform compliance in regulated sectors. You work directly with the founders to shape technical direction and engineering culture, owning architecture, backend services, and CI/CD on Azure. You will apply AI/LLM capabilities to real-world problems, with autonomy and broad impact across product decisions. The role blends hands-on coding with strategic influence in a collaborative, startup environment.

- Own the design and development of scalable cloud-native applications
- Lead the full software development lifecycle from architecture to deployment
- Develop backend services and frontend components (Python, TypeScript, React)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment on Azure
- Collaborate with the founding team to set technical direction and engineering practices
- Solve complex engineering challenges and influence product decisions
- Build AI-enabled products using LLM technologies
- Operate in a hands-on, autonomous role with broad impact on engineering culture
- Strong Python experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs (FastAPI)
- TypeScript and React knowledge a plus
- Experience with LLMs and agentic AI
- Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mindset
- Curiosity and fast learner in a startup environment
- Comfort with unstructured environments and collaboration
- Degree educated, 2.1 minimum, in Computer Science or related field
