Founding Product Engineer, Frontend

Hive is building the AI operating layer for professional services: software that connects the tools a firm already uses and helps real work move forward, with people always in control.

You will build the product surface our customers live in: the cockpit for workflows, approvals, decisions and audit trails. It is where trust is won, and where great product craft really matters.

What you'll do

• Own the operator experience end to end: live workflows, approvals, receipts and the moments where AI becomes genuinely useful.
• Turn complex agent behaviour into calm, intuitive interfaces that busy professionals can understand at a glance.
• Ship directly with design partners using Hive on real client work.
• Set the frontend architecture and quality bar for the engineering team that follows.
• Work closely with the founders on product direction, not just implementation.

What you bring

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping high-quality B2B SaaS or similarly complex digital products.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript and modern frontend architecture.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• A real eye for craft: speed, motion, edge cases and the details that make software feel effortless.
• You are comfortable taking an ambiguous problem and turning it into something people love using.
• Fluent English. German is a bonus.
