Overview
In this Founding Software Engineer role you will shape both technology and product in a fast-growing AI startup. You’ll own the design and development of cloud-native applications, spanning backend, frontend, and deployment on Azure, working closely with the founding team. You’ll influence technical direction and establish engineering practices for scalable growth. The position offers hands-on autonomy and a strong impact on product decisions and engineering culture. This is an exciting chance to help solve real-world compliance and operational challenges with AI-enabled solutions.

- Design and develop scalable, cloud-native applications across the full software development lifecycle
- Lead architecture and backend services, plus frontend development, CI/CD, and deployment on Azure
- Collaborate with the founding team to steer technical direction and engineering practices
- Work primarily with Python and TypeScript, leveraging AI technologies to build products
- Own coding and implementation with hands-on input on product decisions and architecture
- Strong technical skills with Python
- Experience with RESTful APIs (FastAPI preferred)
- Knowledge of TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3 (beneficial)
- Experience with LLMs and agentic AI, proactive and entrepreneurial spirit
- Curious, fast learner, comfortable in a startup/unstructured environment
- Collaborative with good communication skills
- Degree educated, minimum 2.1 at BSc from a top-tier university; Computer Science or related field preferred (MSc/PhD advantageous)
